  • Without safety, THERE IS NO QUALITY OF LIFE. Under my administration, we will be proactive and tough on real criminals, investigate in a timely manner and hold criminals accountable. Currently, Miami Dade POLICE running for this office are unqualified. With OUR NEW Sheriff’s Office, our mission and our code of ethics will protect citizens, our children, and stop corruption in it’s tracks.

  • The Corruption Clean Up Crew is paramount in Miami Dade County. Under Sheriff DeLaRua’s leadership, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office will build trust and relationship between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens the Sheriff’s Office serves.

  • Our schools are still vulnerable and NOT secure like they could and should be. As your Sheriff, DeLaRua will improve school security by introducing a program that will safeguard our children, teachers, and staff.

  • Our County borders are wide open and left unprotected. Our U.S. Border Control catches and releases innocent children back into the hands of their perpetrators allowing human traffickers to continue their illegal and vile evil doings. State Attorney Katherine Rundle will be forced to prosecute on Sheriff DeLaRua’s watch.

  • Sheriff DeLaRua’s Young Minds on a Mission Program will provide direction and opportunities to keep our young people out of trouble, teach them how to contribute to society and stay out of jail. Sheriff DeLaRua will bring the much-needed Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch to the South Florida region.

  • Sheriff DeLaRua was responsible for balancing and maintaining budgets and task forces in award-winning Sheriff’s offices. Sheriff DeLaRua will NOT be under the control of the Miami-Dade Commission. He will inform and advocate for the best use of taxpayer dollars. Currently, our tax dollars are being misspent under the leadership of the current Cava-appointed leadership.

  • The crisis and mental health wellness is a growing area of concern and requires continued efforts. Sheriff DeLaRua will advocate to reform the Baker Act procedures and enforcing facility practices will be an abosolute must. DeLaRua has experienced loss of a loved one because the system failed. Change is imperative.

  • Current police officers will be retrained as Sheriff Deputies. Every Deputy faces daily traumatic events in law enforcement; therefore, to safeguard the community against constitutional rights overreach, DeLaRua’s Deputies will undergo regular mental health evaluations. His Deputies will have a way to report corruption, learn what to look out for, and lawful ways to blow the whistle on any corruption occurring within the County without fear of retaliation.
